Karla recital

Last evening the lovely soprano Karla presented a fund raising recital. She is one of our song leaders when she is not away at school or in service. Four pianists (40 fingers) took turns accompanying her selections from a Swedish folk song, to Copeland, to a Mozart aria, to a Messiah aria. Funds will assist in her going to teach music in Bolivia this fall. At the piano is Carolyn North; Jon Landis is standing in as her prop in the Mozart aria. In the line-up pic, Darlene is far left.

Summer music begins June 1

Right off the first day of June, music at Zion kept on singing and ringing. At left is the upper bells of the adult handbell choir. At right is guest soprano Pam Smith of Quakertown who sang two Bill Gaither songs.

June, July, and August are good months to explore music in our community and church. If you have a suggestion, let me know. Or, volunteer yourself.

choir's first ladies

Sopranos are the "face" of the choir, since they sing the lead line....here they are (a few absent): Katie, Gail, Nancy, Mary, Lorraine, and Nancy. You can't say thank-you enough for these voices.

happy 18th

Before rehearsal got underway, it was a heart-felt singing of happy birthday for soprano Katie. Only once in a lifetime does one have an 18th birthday. Best wishes.
